Home Preparation Instructions for Serum or Nutritional Use
What You Will Need
- a 150 ml beaker, preferably tall
(may be replaced with a heat‑resistant cup up to approx. 500 ml suitable for a water bath) - a teaspoon
- a kitchen pot for a water bath
- a kitchen funnel
- a stove or hot plate
- a refrigerator
Preparation Procedure
- Preparing the mixture
Pour the entire contents of the enclosed sachet into the beaker (or cup) and add drinking water up to the mark for a total volume of 100 ml.
Do not stir the contents.
Cover the beaker with aluminium foil or seal it in another suitable way to prevent evaporation during heating.
- Water bath
Place the beaker into a kitchen pot filled with a suitable amount of water and heat in a water bath.
Heat for 2–3 hours, until the contents are fully dissolved and a thick viscous solution (hydrogel) is formed.
During heating:
- regularly check the water level in the pot and refill if necessary
- if water evaporates from the beaker, refill again to 100 ml
- after approximately one hour, gently break up larger gel clusters with a teaspoon
(this speeds up dissolution and reduces undissolved parts)
- Filling the containers
Once the contents are completely dissolved and a clear solution has formed, turn off the heat.
Using a funnel, pour the still‑hot solution into both enclosed containers up to the rim and immediately close them with the supplied caps.
This procedure minimises the risk of microbial contamination.
- Storage
Allow the containers to cool and then store them in the refrigerator.
Fit the container you will be using with the enclosed dispenser.
This allows the serum (or nutritional solution) to be used without repeatedly opening the container, keeping the contamination risk minimal.
